Portland dropped the optional Scratch Division
competition for 2010 to try something different - Super Jackpot
Mystery Doubles. It was such a big hit that we are
featuring it again. With Scratch side pots available on the lanes, and
most bowlers going for the handicap divisions, handicapped Super
Jackpot Mystery Doubles just seemed a natural fit. How does it work? Each entry is $16.00 (just like what you used to pay
for our Scratch Division). When you enter, you are randomly paired with
another bowler by the computer program. There are no preferential
pairings! It is all at random. (Besides, you may not want to be paired
with the best bowlers who must endlessly keep up their great bowling
because of their low handicap. You may end up with a lower end bowler
with a higher handicap, who is bowling well above their average for the
tournament!) All pairings will be posted on the lanes prior to
bowling, if you have registered in advance using this entry form. If you
procrastinate and only register on the day of bowling, we won’t have the
opportunity to prepare a master list before you bowl. REGISTER
WITH THIS FORM, to have the best opportunity to be matched with
the broadest amount of entered participants and to have the most current
information available. Unlike Scratch Divisions, you can enter Super
Jackpot Mystery Doubles as many times as you wish. That is why you
will find the (x____) on your entry form. If you enter twice, the cost
is $32, or three times is $48. Get the picture?) Your $16.00 entry fee is divided in the following
increments in each division:
• $4.00 for the Doubles Event pairing; • $4.00 for the Team Event pairing; and • $8.00 for the high 6 game total series. The number of entries will determine the prize fund
for each category. In other words this could be a very LUCKY SUPER
JACKPOT Mystery Doubles. We expect this fun new category to attract
a lot of attention. Don’t get left behind by registering late on the day
of bowling. So go for it...make a few big bucks for no additional effort
on your part. |
